Radetzky combines the lines of Concorde and Marco Polo with the blood of Bocoda Lad – and the legendary Nimmerdor. His sire Renkum Valentino is a modern sport sire, who passes altheticism, courage and blood to his offspring. His motherline has produced many top level jumpers, including the 1.60m World Cup jumper Milocia, and Valentino’s dam Nelocia is also the dam of two international jumpers alongside two approved stallion sons. Valentino’s offspring include Off-Centre, 1.60m Grand Prix and HOYS Puissance winner.
Concorde himself needs no introduction as an Olympic medallist, champion sire and producer of over fifty offspring at 1.60m level. Formerly a top five ranked stallion worldwide and the youngest stallion to be awarded Preferent with the KWPN. Concorde is a son of the legendary Voltaire, a world number two sire and one of the all time leading sires in the KWPN Jumping Index.
Radetzky’s exceptional motherline has produced international offspring to 1.60m and 5* Nations Cup level. His dam Galanta has herself evented internationally for Italy and is a daughter of the Elite mare Woudina, a Grade A showjumper, KWPN Ster and AES Elite broodmare. Woudina’soffspring include Ringfort Cruise,successful at CSIO5* level with David O’Brien. Results include Lummen CSIO5* 1st Nations Cup, Lisbon CSIO4* 2ndNations Cup and double clear, Podebradey CSIO4* 3rd Nations Cup alongside many other CSIO4* wins and placings. Woudina is also the dam of the AES Elite and Sport Horse Ireland approved stallion Renkum Englishman – licensing Champion, Grade A showjumper and ranked third in the ISH rankings. His progeny have also represented Ireland at Championship level.
Radetzky has superb conformation with super feet, strong cannon bones and fantastic straight movement, exquisite quality and athletic paces. He is scopey and extremely careful with super quick reflexes and a textbook jumping technique, combined with a super temperament.
Radetzky is also a great improver and progenerator whose foals inherit his movement, brain and class, they also tend to have plenty of bone and exquisite heads. His eldest crop are now six and competing successfully in international young horse classes, including Frankfort Ronnie, winner at EI100 level in Ireland – and double clear in all his starts – he has now stepped up and been placed in his first starts at FEI* eventing.
Tiptoe C.E from Radetzky’s first crop of UK foals has been extremely successful as a young horse finishing =1st in the Weston Lawns Four Year Old Championship, and =1st in the qualifier and 6th in the final at the Addington Young Horse Championships. He started his five year old year as the most consistent five year old of the Vilamoura Atlantic Spring Tour in Portugal, jumping eleven clears out of a total of twelve rounds, three of these clears were in the two day Five Year Old European Cup Championship to finish fifth in top class company.
