We cannot recommend Clements Equine highly enough. We used their stallion Shannondale Delta to breed our first foal Delta’s Diamond (Ziggy), who was born last June, from a hunting mare of ours who needed time out due to an injury. Charlotte was brilliant to deal with, highly professional and helpful. We are absolutely delighted with our foal. She has fantastic conformation and is going to be a lovely big strong mare. Her mother was 17.1 as is her sire, and she already stands at about 14hh at almost a year old. She has an incredibly affectionate and easy nature, definitely inherited from her sire as her mother was a typical mare! She is extremely easy to handle and is very relaxed and calm, and always has been. Sadly we lost her mother a month ago but we very much look forward to the future of this young filly and would have no hesitation in using this sire again. Interestingly we bought a young gelding from Ireland who has the same grandsire as Ziggy, Cavalier Royale, and he has a very similar relaxed and gentle nature, and is proving very willing to please. It is a great bloodline.

I am delighted with the care that Clements Equine give my young stock who are looking fit and healthy despite the wet hard winter we have just had. I know just how difficult a task that is given how I have struggled with the ones that remain at home. Their professionalism and success at dealing with, shall we say, problematic broodmares is also exemplary. They are constantly updating and improving their facilities and I have no hesitation in recommending their services.
Tracey Forrest
My foal has been at Clements Equine for over a year now and Charlotte has looked after her like she was her own. I visit her regularly and could not be happier with her development. Charlotte’s knowledge and expertise is second to none and I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending them.
Paula Holland
Very professional, very helpful and will spend time discussing all the options available, and our mare was very well looked after. Best of all she took first time despite being 20 years old! Highly recommended.
Barry Wayne
Could not be happier with Clements Equine. They have my little yearling filly and I’m always getting regular updates. Care and attention is second to none with her getting wormed and feet trimmed regularly. She is so happy there, would highly recommend and would also send future foals / mares in foal there also. Thank you Clements Equine.
Stacey Webb, Newbridge Sport Horses
Lovely place and very friendly welcoming staff. They deal with collecting from our Suffolk Punch stallion. Plus we both use the same Vet who is fantastic ! So easy to just nip up the road for a walk-in visit by prior arrangement if we have a mare needing semen from our Stallion.
Sam Maloy
He was lovely, very easy, straight horse. Great temperment and attitude for his work. Very trainable and took all questions in his stride. He was in Portugal with us last year training and did some shows over there, then when he came back he started off on his eventing career. He was double clear in all of his EI100 starts and won his 4th, placed 9th in his 2nd novice and was then sold. A very sweet horse! I

Excellent service provided by Clements Equine. Regular updates received for the duration of my mares stay there. Very professional on all fronts. I would highly recommend them.
Jane Simper
My mare went here for insemination by Amour G and was superbly looked after, she wasn’t the easiest to get in foal, as amateur breeder I don’t think we would have managed it from home.
Mary Williams
I have been bringing my stallion, Amour G, to Clements Equine for collections for the last three years. Charlotte and Rob are professional and handle the whole process quietly and efficiently. I always recommend mare owners to send their mares in to Clements Equine for insemination as they have an excellent record of getting mares, even those with known issues, in foal. I would have no hesitation in sending any of my horses to them and look forward to the coming season.
Pippa Childerhouse
I’ve got nothing but praise for Charlotte and the team at Clements Equine. They bent over backwards to accommodate my mare at the last minute. She received excellent care whilst staying there and has returned home looking great and in foal! Thanks so much.
Laura Watkins
I can not recommend this stud enough, Charlotte and her family where so helpful and advice was on hand for any questions I had. I’m so pleased with the foal I have on the ground from shannondale delta. If you you are thinking about breeding then I would not look any further.

Hi Charlotte, I just wanted to say thank you for taking such fantastic care of Petra for the last year. She’s settled in brilliantly at home and being very affectionate. You’ve obviously given her a very good grounding. She is confident but polite. A huge thank you to you and your team. I highly recommend you to anyone who needs a home for their youngstock.

I could not be happier with the service Charlotte provides, it’s an absolute pleasure to have my mares and foals with her. She provides a friendly, experienced professional service and looks after my horses like they are her own.

I am lucky enough to have such a superb facility so close to me, who look after my broodmares and foals with the best quality care. Having been top class performers and always had 5* care it was paramount for them to continue to have the same. To know that they are left in the best care gives me huge confidence. I had one mare originally, then 2 and now 3! Hopefully Clements Equine will be part of and responsible for some future eventing or showjumping stars!

I sent my mare to Clements Equine to have AI in spring of last year. It was so nice to deal with a set up which was so professional, and geared around the horse’s best interests. Everything was organised and dealt with by Charlotte and all I had to think about was when to pick her up…although she didn’t want to leave! I have every confidence, and am looking forward to sending her back to have her foal next spring. I cannot imagine a better place, or nicer people she could be with.

The quiet, relaxed atmosphere, happy horses, and well kept paddocks with lots of grass at Manor Farm helped make my mind up to send my mare there to stud. Top quality care in all respects, not just Rossdales superb AI service, meant that my mare came home in foal, very well and happy in mind, body and feet! I would not hesitate in sending a mare there again, even if I were not using one of the lovely stallions. Thank you so very much Charlotte, you are a star!

We used Clements Equine last year and this year also to foal down our event broodmares. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Charlotte is extremely professional both with the client and the horses. She is super organised which was great for me as I am not always! The facilities are great, with the girls settling into their huge comfy stables very quickly.
Charlotte is great in keeping in touch and made me very welcome whenever I would just drop in and visit. We very sadly had complications with one of the births which meant we had to have a foal put to sleep due to severe birth defects. Charlotte and her team were fantastic they kept me informed and dealt with everything exceptionally quickly and professionally minimising any stress for both the mare and myself.
We will definitely use them again next year and recommend them for all your livery needs.

I am the proud owner of Annie, a 17year old cob who has excelled in everything she has done from showing to side saddle and one day eventing. Following a leg injury I decided to put her in foal. Imagine my disappointment when I was told by a vet that she was too old and too fat to get into foal at all. Regardless, I contacted Pippa Childerhouse with Amour G, and made a very rushed decision to send her to Charlotte Taylor at Clements Equine for AI.
I made a call to Charlotte and after speaking to her with my very exacting care regime for Annie, decided that we would give it a try. At all times Charlotte has been most helpful, and kept me informed of Annie’s progress and putting up with my endless calls asking how she was getting on. After the second round of AI, Charlotte was delighted to give me the news that Annie, was in fact, in foal. When I went to collect her I found Charlotte to be very friendly, and was delighted that she had been so well looked after. If all goes well, and I think we could try again sometime, I can think of no better place to send her, they obviously know what they are dong and do it well. Annie has just been scanned and still in foal, so we’re looking forward to next year.

I have sent two of my stallions this year to Clements Equine to collect and couldn’t be happier with the service received. Charlotte and her team have been fantastic with both boys and I would highly recommend them to anyone. Dealing with stallions for collection purposes (especially young ones!) is definitely a skill. The boys were looked after and handled so so well and time was spent getting things just right for them without any questions. We will definitely be back collecting with Charlotte and her team for many years to come

Really pleased with how settled and happy our mare looked. It’s always scary sending your pride and joy away to stud but seeing how disinterested she was at our arrival just proves what a delightful job Charlotte and her team are doing. Thanks very much to you all.

Charlotte and her team had my maiden mare Cathy to foal, she surprised us and foaled 10 days early , Charlotte was fantastic and with her care he was soon doing well. Little Henri is now at home after an extended stay with Charlotte to really set him up. Many thanks

I sent my mare to stud at Clements after 3 failed attempts to get her in foal last year. Charlotte and her team were fantastic and managed to get her in foal first time. I was very worried about sending my pride and joy away but she came back looking fantastic and very chilled. I was kept informed of her progress and went to visit her after a couple of weeks which was lovely. I wouldn’t hesitate to send another of my horses to Charlotte. Thankyou very much

Have booked 2 mares to Shannondale Delta , the lovely Stu, this season. Very professional service . Our vet very impressed with quality of chilled semen , as good as fresh she says . Delivery on time . One mare in foal and scanning 2nd next week . Thank you , can’t wait for next year .

I moved Reggie to Clements Equine last summer and I must say the change in him has been awesome. Unlike many livery yards, Clements Equine offer all year turn out in small groups and this has made a huge difference to Reggie’s temperament and attitude. From a stressed out 6 year old to a focused, trainable 7 year old. The facilities are amazing and the standard of care is second to none. Prior to moving to Clements Equine I kept Reggie on DIY livery, knowing that he is being cared for as well as I would do it myself has taken much of the stress out of horse ownership. I am now really looking forward to what the future holds for us. Thank you Charlotte and all the team.
Anna Bowman
I’ve had my horse Bert on full livery since October 2016 and would recommend the facilities without any hesitation. The services provided are of a high standard, clean, well organised and lots of knowledgeable advice if needed, which has helped me greatly after 20 years away from owning my own horse. All the staff and liveries are a friendly supportive bunch, a great place to have your horse.
Teresa Flack Jones
Dessie joined the liveries at Clements Equine at the end of last summer and it’s safe to say he loves living there! The facilities are second to none and the atmosphere is the best I’ve known on a yard, everyone is friendly, knowledgeable, caring and always there to give advice or a helping hand. Des suffers with sweet itch and as a result was very tense and sensitive; since moving him the difference has been pretty unbelievable. We have progressed further in the few months of being here than we have in the two years we have owned him prior and I am confident that being at Clements Equine has played a huge part in that. The relaxed, yet routined way of life helped him settle in almost immediately and has aided this transformation that has turned him from a problem horse into a pleasure to own and ride, I would highly recommend the lovely Charlotte and her yard to anyone who is considering moving.
Claire Young
Since moving Dessie to Clements Equine he has gone from strength to strength. He’s very happy and settled. He was suffering from sweet itch prior to the move, but over the summer thanks to the set up of the paddocks at Clements Equine he was not itchy at all for the remainder of the summer. The care is second to none, the arena the best I’ve ever used and the hacking fantastic.
Claire Ross
I have had my horse in full livery at Clements Equine since September 2016. I moved over from Ireland and Charlotte and the team have been great. They look after Buddy so well and they are always there to help with anything I may need. The facilities are excellent and my horse is happy and relaxed because of the excellent surroundings. The yard has a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Everyone has made me feel very welcome and I can honestly say I feel very at home here. Charlotte is so professional which means I can feel comfortable to leave Buddy in her very capable hands when I go home on holidays with out worrying. Clements Equine provide the complete package for my horse and I cannot praise and recommend them highly enough.
Laura Finnegan
I have had my horse at this yard for over a year and feel entirely happy that my horse is looked after to the highest standards. The facilities are great, very professional. There is always help at hand if needed. The school is excellent and I am pleased to recommend these facilities to anyone.
Alison Mitrovik
I can’t recommend Clements Equine’s livery highly enough. The facilities are great for schooling and there are some lovely hacks nearby. The yard is efficiently run in a friendly, relaxed way, and the very knowledgeable Charlotte is always on hand to help if you need it. Nothing is too much trouble for Charlotte and her team.
Nicola Hatfield
My daughter and I have been at Clements Equine for four years now, arriving as new owners with our first pony. The excellent facilities have provided a safe environment for Robyn to ride all year round and grow in confidence with her riding. Charlotte has always been on hand if needed and her knowledge and support was invaluable whilst selling our pony. This support continued as we purchased one of Charlotte’s own-bred horses and Charlotte provided professional tuition as their partnership grew. We both love the friendly, family yard, enjoy the Christmas Day festivities and look forward to seeing the new ducklings each Spring caringly looked after by Charlotte and her family. I would highly recommend this professional, friendly family yard and thank them all for their support and laughter over the years.
Sam and Robyn Sheehy
My horse and I have never been happier since moving to Clements Equine. He is cared for to a very high standard, in the way in which I would, if I were doing it myself. The care is tailored to the individual animal. You can have as much or as little input from Charlotte, and her experienced team, as you need. The atmosphere is friendly, supportive and non-judgemental. The facilities are excellent too. This livery yard would suit anyone from the dressage or jumping enthusiast to the happy hacker.
When we arrived here over two years ago, I had a complicated, unhappy, incredibly sensitive horse. Since having such excellent help and input, I now have a much happier horse and we are a great team. I thoroughly recommend Clements Equine.
Helen Boys (Full Livery)
I knew my horse and I would be happy at Clements Equine from my first visit: very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff; excellent facilities and fantastic horse care were obvious. We initially used the schooling services where every aspect of his wellbeing and training was assessed and an individual plan improved his performance and condition with fantastic results. He is now on full livery and I have complete peace of mind knowing that he is cared for like one of their own. We have regular lessons and schooling sessions. What more can I say? A professional yard and an enjoyable place to spend time. First class.
Louisa Batten (Former Schooling Livery, now Full Livery)
I have my mare on Assisted DIY at Clements Equine and we both love it! It is a very professionally, well run, friendly yard. I like to look after my mare myself and I am left to get on with it, but there is always a reliable helping hand and advice available if I need it which for me means Clements Equine has all the benifits of DIY and none of the drawbacks. I know there is always someone on the yard keeping an eye out on the horses and help when I need it. The facilities and fields are all well looked after and there are lots of bonuses like the horse walker and lessons and professional help with your horse when needed. All in all it is a great yard to be at, whether you are a professional showjumper, happy hacker, require lots of help, or none at all, it is all catered for at Clements Equine.
Trudy Vaughan (Assisted Livery)
Manor Farm at Bardwell was recommended to me for full livery whilst my horse recovered from a very complicated colic surgery. On meeting Charlotte to discuss our case, my mother and I were so relieved to find such a competent, compassionate person and our anxiety was at once put to rest.
During his 5 weeks box rest, our little horse (who had been through 3 different surgeries in the previous 10 months), was treated like royalty and seemed happy and content. His healing process has been phenomenal and Charlotte has helped manage Jack’s journey back to fitness, way beyond what was expected from a livery yard.
We are now having weekly lessons which both Jack and I are finding demanding but extremely rewarding and realising that we both have potential that we did not realise. It will be very difficult to leave! We would recommend Manor Farm Stud to anyone.
Emma Stamper (Rehabilitation then Full Livery)
I have purchased a horse from Charlotte, and kept two on livery with her; an Irish Sport Horse and a foal. Both received the utmost care and attention. Clements Equine do exactly as they promise, never cut corners and are completely trustworthy. I never had to worry about my horses with Charlotte, she has a wealth of experience and always has the horse’s best interests at heart. I would not hesitate to recommend Clements Equine to anyone for it’s excellent facilities, staff and atmosphere if looking for livery, or for their well-bred, well-loved, well-schooled horses that are bred and sold by Charlotte, if looking for something to buy.
Jo Monaghan-Welsh
Lovely staff, professional yard, highly recommended
Kate Street, Schooling Livery
Very professional and personable, great facilities and team. I didn’t worry for a second about my horse’s care during her stay and was very pleased with the work put in to her. Highly recommended.
Shell Shoff, Schooling Livery
I sent my little Velvet to Charlotte for some schooling and along with her team Lindsey and Jess did a super job and looked after Velvet very well. I am an allround happy customer and would not hesitate to use their services again Many thanks to you all

Charlotte, formerly Clements (hence our business name!) has grown up in a horsey family surrounded with horses and ponies. She has competed successfully in junior and young rider show jumping competitions to 1.35m, and more recently in amateur classes. Charlotte set up Clements Equine in 2005 and over the last ten years the family farm has diversified to help the business grow. A qualified A.I Technician, Charlotte still enjoys riding but concentrates on running the stud and livery side of the business now.
Robert joined Clements Equine in 2010, and is Charlotte’s husband. Having previously worked at a busy Newmarket stud he is well placed to front the annual foaling operation and also facilitates the rolling schedule of improvements and alterations on the yard. Robert is also a qualified A.I Technician and in addition provides a key role in the paddock management business.
Paul is Charlotte’s father and heads up the paddock management side of the business. He also makes sure the paddocks on site are in tip top condition and is in charge of producing all the hay, haylage and straw for the horses. Alongside a lifelong love of horses Paul is also a championship winning breeder of Simmental and Aberdeen Angus cattle. He assists in the day to day running of the yard – when not busy on a tractor!
Colin runs his own yard in Hadleigh with his partner and fellow show-jumper Emily Hilton, both of whom are excellent producers of young horses. Colin has worked closely with us for several years, predominantly competing the show jumping team, and also assisting in the education of the young horses.
Sarah worked here several years ago and has recently returned after a break raising her family. Sarah is an all-round super groom so we are very pleased to have her back. Alongside her role here, Sarah also has four of her own horses, and a young family – good job she likes being busy!
